March 3rd 2018: Kilimani Street Festival and Outdoor Cinema

The Kilimani Project Foundation will hold the first community street festival of 2018 on Saturday the 3rd of March along Rose Avenue and at Rosedale Gardens. The event will run from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

This will be our 7th Street Festival in line with our aim of creating an inclusive environment for building social cohesion in Kilimani and Nairobi.

The Street Festival will have an open market that will feature among others Organic Farmers Market, Baraka Israel, Kirembo Kirembo, Cake World, Jinya Foods, My Soul Tonic, Mia Mara Creation, Ikwetta, Dudu, Afro Fanatic, Senyor-J-Ceys,  Kanga Cultural Shop.

There will also be lots of fun and games for kids in the kids area including puppet shows, bouncing castles and artwork.

The Evening Outdoor Cinema will feature short film Watu Wote and feature film Kati Kati. 

Kati Kati is a Kenyan drama film directed by Mbithi Masya. The film is about a young woman waking up in a small village with no memory of her life or who she is for that matter. She soon finds other people in this village which is called Kati Kati.

Watu Wote is a short film based on a true story from the Mandera Bus Attack by Al Shabaab that brings out unity among Muslims and Christians against the terrorists.

The Kilimani Street Festival is sponsored by Pam Golding, Radar Security, Willart Productions, Nairobi Film Festival and Legacy Realty.
